With the Marshfield XC Meet on the horizon, Apollo was nothing more than a tune-up speed workout for the Wayzata Boys. They were coming off a 12+ mile run two days prior. For Apollo, they had a strict message to not go under a certain time at the 2-mile mark, only after which the dogs of war were released. So, only the last mile was quick.
